When I paint from life I try to make each individual nude an integral work of art in itself. I never use
professional models as I feel I can’t make in depth art by using them. I only work with friends who
wouldn’t normally take their clothes off for an artist. However by choosing to do so for me a trust
develops between us. This process allows me to make real naked portraits of each sitter and to
explore every facet of their bodies. The finished painting should pulsate with as much life as life itself.
